Start small
Run one brief, non-destructive task before enabling a broad repository workflow. Check request history to see the number of turns and actual cost. Agent tools can trigger several inference calls, so assign realistic RPM/concurrency and usage budgets.
Preserve human approvals for commands that change data. A custom model endpoint does not sandbox local tools. When diagnosing a rejection, compare a minimal text request first, then add tools or attachments one capability at a time.
